Angry Birds has grown from a fun mobile game developed by Rovio Entertainment into a massive children's franchise. The first of the
Angry Birds movies released back in 2016 and now a sequel has arrived in theatres.
The Angry Birds Movie 2 sees Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Leslie Jones, Bill Hader, Rachel Bloom, Awkwafina, Sterling K. Brown, Danny McBride, Peter Dinklage, Zack Woods, Pete Davidson, Lil Rel Howery, and Beck Bennett each voice a bird of piggy. The sequel is directed by Thurop Van Orman (
The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack) and John Rice (
King of the Hill).
Now that it's out in theatres, the film has also debuted on

When a new threat emerges that puts both Bird and Pig Island in danger, Red (Jason Sudeikis), Chuck (Josh Gad), Bomb (Danny McBride), and Mighty Eagle (Peter Dinklage) recruit Chuck’s sister Silver (Rachel Bloom) and team up with pigs Leonard (Bill Hader), his assistant Courtney (Awkwafina), and techpig Garry (Sterling K. Brown) to forge an unsteady truce and form an unlikely superteam to save their homes.
The Angry Birds Movie 2 is set to arrive in theatres on August 2nd, 2019.
