The ANGRY BIRDS 2 Movie Confirms Its New And Returning Voice Cast

When an animated film based on the Angry Birds mobile game was first announced, it was met with a healthy dose of skepticism. However, it went on to earn favorable reviews and a sizable profit.

Sony has confirmed that Jason Sudeikis is returning as Red for the Angry Birds sequel, alongside  Josh Gad as Chuck, Bill Hader as King Pig,  Danny McBride as Bomb and Peter Dinklage as Mighty Eagle. Joining the budding animation franchise are Leslie Jones (who will voice the film's new villain),  Sterling K. Brown, Rachel Bloom, Eugenio Derbez, Zach Woods, Lil Rel Howery, Brooklynn Prince, and Dove Cameron.

In an official press release, the film's producer, John Cohen stated, "I’m thrilled about our incredibly talented filmmaking team and the hilarious people we’ve brought together for the sequel.  We’re so happy that Jason, Josh, Bill, Danny, and Peter are back for a second adventure joined by Leslie, Rachel, Sterling, Eugenio and this awesome ensemble of new talent.  We’ll have many more exciting announcements to share soon."

The Angry Birds Movie 2 is currently slated for release on September 20, 2019.  Thurop Van Orman and John Rice are the new co-directors, replacing Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly from the first film.  The first film grossed $352.3 million USD from an estimated production budget of $73 million USD.
