With Justice League Dark: Apokolips War releasing on Digital HD in less than a week's time (on May 5, 2020) and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD two weeks after that (on May 19, 2020); Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has unveiled their next animated movie based on the DC Comics universe.
Superman: Man of Tomorrow sees "Clark Kent working as an intern for the Daily Planet and learning on the job how to save the city of Metropolis," according to Entertainment Weekly. Seems like a pretty standard affair for the Man of Steel. What isn't standard, however, is the voice cast.
The voice cast of Superman: Man of Tomorrow features quite a few big names. First off, there's Darren Criss who's best known for starring in Glee and American Crime Story — for which he won both an Emmy and Golden Globe award. What's more, there's also Zachary Quinto. He's best known for playing Spock in the recent Star Trek movies, not to mention Heroes.
Respectively, Criss and Quinto play Clark Kent (A.K.A. Superman) and Lex Luthor. Alexandra Daddario will feature as Lois Lane. She's best known for her roles in San Andreas and Baywatch. Those are already some pretty well-known names but we're just getting started as far as the voice cast goes.
Brett Dalton (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) plays cosmic bounty hunter Lobo, Ryan Hurst (The Walking Dead) plays the villainous Parasite, and Ike Amadi (Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge) plays Martian Manhunter. Neil Flynn and Bellamy Young play Jonathan and Martha Kent respectively.
Chris Palmer serves as director, Tim Sheridan serves as screenwriter, and Butch Lukic serves as supervising producer. Superman: Man of Tomorrow is set to release this Summer on digital, Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, and DVD. We will be sure to keep you updated on everything to do with the upcoming animated movie.
