Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse's most recent trailer has quickly become one of Sony's most viral ever.
The highly anticipated film recently dropped its second trailer - which you can check out below - which showed off a ton of new characters, intriguing story elements, and stunning visuals. The film follows the journey of Miles Morales, the Spider-Man in Marvel comics' Ultimates universe. The character has a massive fan following and will be making his big screen debut in Into The Spider-Verse.
According to a recent report by Deadline, the latest trailer brought in an impressive 44 million views within its first 24 hours “with the spot standing as one of the Culver City lot’s most viral rate of 32:1."
That’s a first day viral rate up there with Sony’s Sausage Party, and beating the Spider-Verse‘s first teaser (11:3) and even Warner Bros.’ Lego Batman (11:4). Also within the first day of Spider-Verse‘s release, it totaled 164K social conversations and 26M views across all social platforms, (Facebook, YouTube, etc).
It's clear that demand to see the character is at its peak - and with Donald Glover playing Miles' uncle in Spider-Man: Homecoming, perhaps we could see the rookie webslinger swing into the Marvel Cinematic Universe sometime soon.
