SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE Star Hailee Steinfeld Cosplays As Gwen Stacy For Recent Media Appearance

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse star Hailee Steinfeld has shared photos of her doing the press rounds for the sequel in a costume that was clearly inspired by Gwen Stacy's Into the Spider-Verse uniform.

Hailee Steinfeld reprises her role as Spider-Gwen in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, a character we first met in 2018's Into the Spider-Verse

Introducing herself as Miles Morales' classmate, "Gwanda," the hero went undercover in Brooklyn's Vision Academy after being pulled into Earth-1610 by The Kingpin's Quantum Collider. She did so by wearing one of the school's uniforms, and Steinfeld channelled that style for some recent media appearances in the UK.

You can take a closer look at her live-action take on Gwen Stacy below but are sure you'll agree she'd make an amazing live-action Spider-Gwen. Whether it will ever happen is another matter, of course, particularly as Steinfeld is a few years older than Gwen and the MCU's Kate Bishop/Hawkeye.

"A contender for the best Spider-Man film yet and easily the greatest animated movie ever made," we said in our review of the sequel, "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a jaw-dropping spectacle, a feast for the senses, and an instant Marvel classic."

A compelling new theory about Spider-Gwen has started doing the rounds online this week. Read more about that here.

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence.

But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

The movie stars Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Karan Soni, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham, and Oscar Isaac.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is now playing in theaters.
