The Boys and Scream star Jack Quaid recently took to social media to reveal that he had a small role in Sony Pictures' Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and we now know the character he voiced.
Mild spoilers for the beginning of the movie follow.
The Into the Spider-Verse sequel actually focuses on Gwen Stacy initially, as we find out what led to her leaving the life she knew behind and joining the Spider-Society. In Gwen's reality, her best friend/potential love interest is Peter Parker, who she inadvertently kills when he transforms into a version of the Lizard and attacks during their school prom.
The character only has a couple of lines, and Quad provided them.
It's a very small part for an established actor, so we're left to wonder whether Quaid might return as this or some other Peter/Lizard Variant for next year's Beyond the Spider-Verse?
In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, after reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. However, when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
The confirmed voice cast includes Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar Isaac, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Jason Schwartzman, Daniel Kaluuya, Shea Whigham, Jorma Taccone, Luna Lauren Vélez, and Brian Tyree Henry.
