It's already been confirmed that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is likely to include hundreds of Spidey Variants, but there are two more big additions we're sure you'll be excited to see on screen next June. According to The Cosmic Circus, those are Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Yuri Lowenthal's video game Peter Parker!
As of right now, there's no word on whether Holland will actually reprise the role for this Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel, so it's possible the hero will just appear in the background somewhere.
However, the site reiterates that it's definitely the MCU's Spidey we'll see in the movie, and this raises big questions (particularly after the hero got his first exposure to the Multiverse/Spider-Verse in last December's Spider-Man: No Way Home).
When it comes to Lowenthal's web-slinger, it seems likely he'll lend his talents to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After all, he has a long list of voice acting credits to his name, and the character has ties to the Multiverse after playing a major role in the Spider-Geddon comic book event.
Interestingly, the same source has told the side that there have been discussions about Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Men also swinging into the movie for a cameo. It's currently unclear whether that would happen in Across the Spider-Verse or Beyond the Spider-Verse, though.
The potential cameos keep on coming, as the report concludes by revealing we may also see Josh Keaton and Christopher Daniel Barnes reprise their respective roles as the Spectacular and 90s Variants of this iconic superhero.
Only time will tell whether this rumour pan out, but we're definitely excited to see what promises to be a star-studded team-up for Miles Morales when he returns in the follow-up to 2018's Oscar-winning effort. When it comes to reuniting the three live-action wall-crawlers, we can't help but think that would be best saved for a future live-action project.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse swings into theaters on June 2, 2023.
