SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE Poster Seemingly Includes One Of The Live-Action Web-Slingers - SPOILERS

A newly released poster for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse seemingly includes one of the live-action Spider-Men, but is it who we think it or is this just a bit of lazy marketing? Check it out...

In recent months, there's been a lot of speculation about Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield potentially reprising their respective roles in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

For the time being, it sounds more likely that we'll see them in 2024's Beyond the Spider-Verse, though nothing has been confirmed either way (there have, however, been an awful lot of rumours). Odeon Ireland has now revealed a new poster for the sequel, and many fans are convinced that Maguire's wall-crawler is among the Spider-heroes highlighted here.

The resemblance is uncanny, though we have a feeling this is just a recycled piece of promo art that's been utilised for this Across the Spider-Verse poster. In previous efforts, fans have noticed Hot Toys figures and comic book panels which have essentially been painted over by artists.

Still, we're not discounting the possibility Maguire will be part of the sequel, though this may well just be a random Spider-Man that looks a little bit like him.

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence.

But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

The movie stars Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Karan Soni, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham, and Oscar Isaac.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set to be released in theaters on June 2, 2023.
