Hasbro has finally revealed its full wave of Marvel Legends action figures for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and as well as a closer look at the movie's many Spidey Variants, we get heaps of new character details.
For example, in the case of Spider-Man 2099, while "trying to create a new superhero, Miguel O'Hara accidentally turned himself into the best Spider-Man in the multi-verse." That's a departure from the source material but one that could explain how and why the hero finds himself in charge of all those different web-slingers.
More details on each character can be found in the Instagram posts below - many thanks to @mcucollector24 for those - and there are definitely plenty of intriguing and surprising reveals here.
Miles Morales, meanwhile, has a new costume and The Spot...well, his physique is certainly pretty interesting for such a formidable baddie!
Peter B. Parker is looking good these days, but it definitely sounds like he'll find himself caught between a rock and hard place after being forced to decide between fighting with or against Miles. This movie serves as the first half of a two-part story, and it sounds like Sony has epic plans for this Oscar-winning animated franchise.
In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, after reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence.
However, when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
Written by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller and David Callaham, and directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, Justin K. Thompson, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse swings into theaters on June 2, 2023.
