SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE Concept Art Reveals Miles G. Morales Wasn't Always Going To Be [SPOILER]

New Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse concept art confirms it wasn't always the plan for Miles G. Morales to suit up as Prowler, and we have a heap of alternate costume designs for you to check out...

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse ended by taking us to Earth-42, the home of Miles G. Morales. That reality's spider ended up biting Earth-1610's Miles Morales, robbing its original world of a Spider-Man who could fend off the Sinister Six Cartel.

As for Miles G., he'd become the Prowler in place of his uncle and the movie ended with Spidey trapped by the apparent villain (who we've since learned is, in fact, a vigilante).

It was quite the cliffhanger, and new concept art from Kris Anka reveals the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel's creative team considered a huge number of alternate looks for Miles G. Rather than suiting up as the Prowler, it seems he was once going to be a newly created vigilante, though there are a few examples here which appear to be very Spider-Man-inspired.

Ultimately, Across the Spider-Verse arguably made the right decision by delivering that Prowler twist and we can't wait to see what happens next...even if it's now obvious Beyond the Spider-Verse isn't swinging into theaters next March.

Check out Anka's alternate designs below.

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence.

But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

The movie stars Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Karan Soni, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham, and Oscar Isaac.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is now playing in theaters.
