SPACE JAM: A NEW LEGACY Dominated This Year's Razzie Awards - Read The Full List Of "Winners" Here!

Space Jam: A New Legacy was panned by critics, so it probably won't surprise you to learn that the movie ended up winning a lot of major awards during last year's annual Razzie Awards. Read on for details!

The Academy Awards take place later today and, as is tradition, the Razzie Awards were held last night. It was not a good night for Space Jam: A New Legacy, as it picked up the second-highest number of "wins" after being panned by critics last year. However, Netflix's filmed version of the Princess Diana Broadway musical, Diana, managed to top it with five trophies.

Space Jam: A New Legacy has 26% on Rotten Tomatoes and a Critics Consensus that reads, "Despite LeBron James' best efforts to make a winning team out of the Tune Squad, Space Jam: A New Legacy trades the zany, meta humor of its predecessor for a shameless, tired exercise in IP-driven branding."

Coming hot off the heels of those negative Morbius reactions is a "Worst Supporting Actor" gong for Oscar-winner Jared Leto. That was for his performance in House of Gucci

Superhero movies managed to escape the wrath of the Razzie Awards for yet another year, a surprise as many expected the organisers to take advantage of the fact Marvel Studios had its first "Rotten" rated movie in 2021 with Eternals (it certainly didn't deserve to be nominated, though).
