The Angry Birds 2 animated sequel announced its new and returning cast back in April and now, Sony has revealed that the film will drop 2 weeks earlier than originally planned.

Angry Birds 2 will now hit theaters on September 6, 2019, the same date as Warner Bros. It sequel.  The two films have very different demographic targets so they shouldn't adversely affect one another's box office gross.  Thurop Van Orman and John Rice are the new directing pair, replacing Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly.

The first Angry Birds film grossed $352.3 million USD from an estimated production budget of $73 million USD.

The Jumanji sequel will hit theaters on December 13, 2019, two weeks after Frozen 2 and the week before Star Wars: Episode IX.
