A couple of days ago, Paramount Pictures released a brand new trailer for their upcoming, live-action
Sonic the Hedgehog movie. James Marsden, Jim Carrey, and Ben Schwartz feature in the film — the latter two being the warring pair of Dr. Robotnik and Sonic the Hedgehog respectively.
Following the trailer's release, fans quickly spotted the official logo for the PUMA footwear brand subtly emblazoned on the titular speedster's shoes. It was speculated that the brand might bring out a pair of actual sports shoes based on those in the movie (via
Gamefragger).
Since then, PUMA has taken to Twitter to retweet the trailer and complinent Sonic's choice of footwear:
"Nice kicks fam." Then, another Twitter user asked the brand about the likelihood of being able to pre-order a pair. PUMA simply told them to stay posted. So, it seems that PUMA will almost certainly release an actual pair of Sonic's shoes around the time of the film's release — February 14th.
