It's been almost two months since the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie debuted in theatres. Based on the video game series of the same name; Ben Schwartz starred as the titular speedster, Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, and James Marsden as Tom Wachowski — while Jeff Fowler served as director.
Since release, Sonic the Hedgehog went on to steal the title of highest-grossing video game movie ever at the domestic box office, from Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, and it's now officially available to purchase and own via digital storefronts — more on that here.
Now that the movie's available digitally; Microsoft and SEGA have teamed up to bring to life a limited edition Xbox console features some awesome decals based on the Sonic the Hedgehog movie. This giveaway is open to everyone (assuming you're over the age of 18 or can at least get permission from an adult or legal guardian); all you have to do is retweet the tweet below.
Simply pair the retweet with the hashtag #SonicXboxSweepstakes and you're in the running to win the Xbox One X console. Act fast, though, as the giveaway is only open for a limited time. It's said that entries close on April 14th (via Gamefragger). Presumably, that's also when the winner will be picked — so be sure to keep your fingers crossed until then.
Sonic the Hedgehog is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
