Sonic fans were left disappointed when the first posters for the live action
Sonic the Hedgehog movie made their way online back in December of last year; mainly due to the fact that they didn't quite get to see the beloved blue hedgehog.
The first poster only featured a silhouette of the character, which was also met with controversy by fans. The reason? Sonic's human-like proportions as opposed to the more cartoony approach from the video games.
Yesterday, we got our very first look at the CGI version of Sonic in paramount Pictures' live action
Sonic the Hedgehog movie, and fans were — once again — left disappointed by the character's design. This time, the reason was that the eyes simply don't look the way Sonic eyes should look.
Deputy Reviews Editor at IGN, Tom Marks, decided to fix Sonic's design and made the eyes look like the one Modern era Sonic has; making the character look one hundred percent better than the one Paramount Pictures came up with.
Although the movie won't come out for another 8 months, it is unlikely that Sonic can go through redesigns in order to make the eyes look more akin to the character's video game counterpart; although it would really be nice that they listened to fans and fixed it, any way.
