The Robert Schwentke-helmed G.I. Joe spinoff has already recruited actors to play key characters like Storm Shadow, The Baroness, and Snake Eyes himself, but now a new report reveals another major casting decision has been made.

Per The Wrap, up-and-coming actress Haruka Abe, who is set to appear in the upcoming BBC One series Girl/Haji, has joined the cast of Snake Eyes in a role that is currently being kept under wraps.

As the title suggests, Paramount and Skydance’s live-action G.I. Joe spinoff will trace the origins of of the fan-favorite character and explore his intense rivalry with the deadly assassin Storm Shadow.

In addition to Haruka Abe, Snake Eyes, which is set to be released on October 16, 2020, will also star Henry Golding, Andrew Koji, and Úrsula Corberó.
