Skydance Animation's Luck is already in production, making the departure of Alessandro Carloni a serious blow. Peggy Holmes will attempt to pick up the pieces for the studios first animated pic under newly hired John Lasseter, who left Pixar/Disney under disconcerting terms.
Earlier this year, Emma Thompson dropped out as the lead voice actor in Luck, citing the disturbing reports of Lasseter's conduct at Disney.
Luck is said to be an animated comedy dealing with the age old battle between two rival organizations, one who bestows good luck and another that brings misfortune.
