A rumour that's been doing the rounds recently suggested that director Michael Bay and Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds had teamed up to adapt ThunderCats into a movie for Netflix. Deadpool writer Rhett Reese as well as Reynolds himself recently took to Twitter to shut down this bizarre idea.

Reese and Paul Wernick are writing the script for Six Underground - the film which was suggested to be a cover for the ThunderCats project - Reynolds, Mélanie Laurent and Dave Franco will all be starring in it.

Following several sites covering the rumoured ThunderCats film, Reese tweeted out a simple "No." before Reynolds later added in reply: “I don’t understand... Six Undergroud is an insane action film set in amazing locales like Florence, Abu Dhabi and Thundera,” Reynolds wrote on Twitter, invoking the homeworld of the Thunderians and the ThunderCats. “This is the most ridiculous rumor yet.”
