Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling, originally a made-for-TV movie from Nickelodeon, begins with Rocko and his pals having been in space for 20 years. But when the trio arrive back on Earth, they realize their home of O-Town has changed quite a bit since they first left; it's now filled with coffee shops, food trucks, and O-Phone stores - typical gentrification stuff. But while Rocko attempts to adjust to his new modernized town, it seems there's something else going on in the background. A headline scrolling across the news ticker int he teaser reads: “Schlamo energy drink under investigation for in toxic waste spill. Responsible for mutated badgers.”
