Announced back in April, the Phineas & Ferb movie coming to Disney+ next year received some new details - including an official title.
Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe will arrive on the streaming service in 2020 and will follow stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb as they travel across the galaxy to rescue Canace, “who has been abducted by aliens and has found utopia in a far-off planet, free of pesky little brothers.”
Despite the original show being off air for a few years now, the upcoming movie will still be set in the same timeline of the series. Original Phineas and Ferb co-creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh are returning as executive producers on the movie as well as their characters Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz and Major Monogram, respectively.
Also returning to reprise their roles are Tisdale as Candace Flynn; Vincent Martella as Phineas Flynn; Caroline Rhea as their mom, Linda; Dee Bradley Baker as Perry the Platypus; Alyson Stoner as Isabella; Maulik Pancholy as Baljeet; Bobby Gaylor as Buford; Olivia Olson as Vanessa; and Tyler Mann as Carl.
Phineas and Ferb ran from 2007 to 2016 for approximately 126 episodes and seven one-hour specials. Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimenion was released in 2011. The full original run of the show will also be hosted on Disney+ when the streaming service launches on November 12.
Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe will premiere on DIsney+ in 2020.
