Paw Patrol is one of the most popular children's cartoons today and has been so for the better part of a decade. The massive success the franchise has had is paying off in a big way today as Paw Patrol: The Movie is officially able to watch!
The film starts playing in theaters today with a simultaneous Paramount+ streaming release. Paw Patrol: The Movie is particularly ambitious and has gathered an all-star voice cast including the likes of Kim Kardashian-West (Oceans Eight), Randall Park (Wandavision), Dax Shepard (Without a Paddle), Jimmy Kimmel (Jimmy Kimmel Live!), and Tyler Perry (Madea's Family Reunion).
Ryder, meanwhile, is being voiced by actor and talented voice performer Will Brisbin. We had the chance to interview him and chose to give kids around the world a chance to ask Ryder some of the things they want to know.
You can see images of the children and some special posters and feature videos for Paw Patrol: The Movie included amongst the exciting questions and answers below!
Cruz Lujan-Baker (Columbus, OH): Your character, Ryder, has a very vague background. Although we know his puppy relationships, little is known about the character's background and relationships with other humans, such as his family.
Can you say where Ryder's parents are? And if you don't know, where would you imagine them being?
Ryder (Will Brisbin): I can’t say for sure where Ryder’s parents are, but I imagine they both accepted job offers on some faraway tropical island, and now they’re enjoying the beautiful island life!
Of course, they do miss their son Ryder a lot, and they can’t wait to come home to see him soon!

Lily-Rose Brigden, age 8 (London, UK): Other than your character of Ryder, which character or characters in Paw Patrol are your favorites?
Do you relate to one of the puppies more than the others, and if so, what is it that you see in that character that speaks to you the most?
Ryder (Will Brisbin): I love Marshall! He’s got such a big heart, and he loves his friends. He’s also really clumsy!
I see a lot of myself in Marshall, so I connect with him a lot!

Faith Brigden, age 5 (London, UK): Your job is to work with puppies, which a lot of kids would love to do.
What is it like working with the pups, and is there anything you've experienced or learned about the dogs that you didn't expect?
Ryder (Will Brisbin): It’s been such an amazing experience getting to work with the pups! They have taught me a lot of great lessons about courage, friendship, and love!
Roman Green, age 8 & Jacquelyn Morris, age 10 (Temperance, MI): How were you able to assemble a group of puppies to fight crime?
Was it a tough job to get all of the pooches to work together and stay on the same team?
Ryder (Will Brisbin): Ever since the pups were little, they all loved each other very much, so it was quite easy to get them all to work together.
For their whole lives, they’ve all loved their own things- Rubble loved to build and destroy things, Rocky loved to recycle, and Skye loved to fly.
So I took all of those things that made the puppies unique, and I used them to create a Paw-some team!

Eric Pegish, age 3 (Toledo, OH): Hello from a big fan of yours, my name is Eric! I wanted to know about what the puppies eat.
What do you feed the dogs, and do any of them prefer a different diet than the others? Do some get more treats than the others, or are they all equally good boys?
Ryder (Will Brisbin): I feed the dogs a healthy meal that will energize them and get them ready to save the city! I maybe give them a little more treats than I am supposed to, but they’re so cute; what else am I supposed to do!
Rubble gets the most treats out of them all, but that’s just because he always sneaks extras! Besides that, he’s a very good boy, just like all the rest of the pups.

Theo Tellez (Anthony, NM): Which puppy is your favorite, and do you have a situation or experience as Ryder that has been the most memorable for you?
What is your favorite vehicle/machine that Ryder has used? Also, a great big hello from Theo, and he wants to ride in the patroller with Ryder someday! :)
Ryder (Will Brisbin): My favorite puppy is Marshall! Everything that happens in PAW Patrol: The Movie is a super awesome adventure, and that is probably my favorite experience that Ryder has ever had!
My favorite vehicle Ryder has used is when his ATV becomes a jet ski for water! And hello Theo, I hope you have a great day!
What do you guys think about these kids' questions and Ryder/Will's responses? Would you like to see more interviews with this structure going forward?
