According to a recent report by Discussing Film, renowned actor Nicholas Cage has joined the cast of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse as a popular, multiversal Spidey variant.

Now, firstly it's best to inform you that we know Spider-Man Noir will be making an appearance in the highly anticipated animated film due to a mass leak relating to Funko Pop! products in which a ton of unannounced and upcoming "Pops" were revealed. One of these Pop figures is connected to Into The Spider-Verse and named Spider-Man Noir.

Here's the Funko Pop! leak:

Cage will also be appearing in anothe superhero-centric animated film which is set to debut this year, as he will be the voice of Superman in the soon to be released Teen Titans Go! To The Movies. And this isn't even Cage's first superhero venture specific to Sony as he was the star of two Ghost Rider films.

This reveal lends credence to many fans' hopes/speculation that the film will centre around a plethora of webslingers rather than just a select few - though with Hailee Steinfeld's iteration of Spider-Gwen being revealed in the film's most recent trailer, that was more or less a given. But the more the merrier - this most likely means that we're in for a ton more unrevealed Spidey variants. Fingers crossed for Spider-Ham.

What do you think about this report? Would you like to see Cage in the role of Spider-Man Noir?
