Promotional and merchandise artwork for Seth Rogen's upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem continues to find its way online, and these latest pics may hint at a somewhat surprising character dynamic between April O'Neil and one of the Heroes in a Half-Shell.

The image of Leo, Mikey, Raph and Donnie clowning around includes a love heart with "L + A," which indicates that Leonardo and April may embark of some sort of romantic relationship in the animated movie - or, at the very least, that Leo has a crush on the young reporter.

This wouldn't be unheard of, but in previous adaptations, it's usually either Michaelangelo or Donatello that develops feelings for Miss O'Neil, not the highly focused and pragmatic leader of the team.

We might be reading way too much into a logo for a t-shirt design, but be sure to let us know what you think in the comments down below.

“After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.”

Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu and Brady Noon will voice the roles of Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo and Raphael, respectively. The cast also includes Jackie Chan as Splinter, Hannibal Buress as Genghis Frog, Rose Byrne as Leatherhead, John Cena as Rocksteady, Ice Cube as Superfly, Natasia Demetriou as Wingnut, Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil, Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman, Post Malone as Ray Fillet, Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko, Maya Rudolph as Cynthia Utrom, and Seth Rogen as Bebop.

Jeff Rowe (The Mitchells vs. the Machines) directed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, which is produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
