Earlier this week, we broke the news that the first trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem would debut during tonight's Kids' Choice Awards, and producer Seth Rogen has now confirmed the teaser's imminent arrival.
Rogen shared the following to his Instagram stories, and while he didn't mention the KCA specifically, rest assured the trailer will screen during the show!
In anticipation of our first glimpse of the Heroes in a Half-Shell in action, the movie's social media accounts have been updated with a brand-new logo.
Plot details are still under wraps, but Rogen has previously said that he intends to emphasize the "teenage" aspects of the Turtles. While the teen/coming-of-age elements have obviously been explored in previous TMNT adventures, it's never really been the main focus, so this could prove to be an intriguing approach.
The awesome foursome have starred in several features at this stage, with the most recent being the moderately successful (from a financial standpoint, at least) movies from Paramount and Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes. They previously appeared in animated form in Warner Bros.' 2007 adventure, TMNT.
Fans still regard the original 1990 film to be the best of the bunch, however.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem was directed by Jeff Rowe (The Mitchells vs. the Machines) and written by Brendan O’Brien (Neighbors)
