The 2016 animated film was a big hit for the studio as it grossed $875 million worldwide from a $75 million production budget.
Director Chris Renaud returns for the sequel, along with the original voice cast of Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Dana Carvey, Hannibal Buress, Bobby Moynihan. Patton Oswalt replaces Louis C.K., who was dropped from his role after allegations of sexual misconduct.
The Secret Life of Pets 2 hits theaters June 7 and will open 1 week earlier in the U.K.
