Walt Disney World Resort's Epcot is undergoing a massive transformation as Disney attempts to modernize the Orlando-based theme park. As part of the updates, Epcot will be adding a new experience inspired by the hit animated movie Moana.

Announced at D23 Expo, which officially kicks off today, the new Journey of Water will be the first attraction based on the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Moana. It will let guests "interact with magical, living water in a beautiful and inspiring setting," according to the Disney Parks blog.

Concept art and models for the new Journey of Water was shown in the Disney Parks Pavilion Tour video, which you can watch below.

Moana was released in 2016 and went on to gross over $640 million worldwide. The animated film tells the story of a strong-willded daughter of a chief of a Polynesian village set off on an adventure after being chosen by the ocean itself to reunite a mystical relic with the goddess Te Fiti. In an attempt to save her people from a blight that struck the island, Moana sets sail in search of Maui, a legendary demigod played by Dwayne Johnson.
