Sony Pictures has unveiled the cover for the official behind-the-scenes tie-in art of book for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and it features an awesome new look at Miles Morales swinging into action far above the streets of NYC.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse: The Art of the Movie will take readers behind the scenes to showcase the art and artistry of Sony Pictures Animation’s highly-anticipated sequel to 2018’s Academy Award-winning animated feature, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
The ultimate deep dive into the on-screen return of the Spider-Man Multiverse, the book features exclusive concept art, sketches, character designs, and storyboards from the visually innovative film, as well as interviews with key creators such as writers/producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who offer insights into their creative process.
The book was written by Ramin Zahed, a Los Angeles-based author and editor-in-chief of Animation Magazine.
In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, after reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Manis catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. However, when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
The confirmed voice cast includes Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar Isaac, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Jason Schwartzman, Daniel Kaluuya, Shea Whigham, Jorma Taccone, Luna Lauren Vélez, and Brian Tyree Henry.
