Last month, it was revealed that Dwayne Johnson, who is currently suiting up as Black Adam, will also be starring as the voice of DC canine Krypto the Superdog in WB's upcoming animated feature DC League of Super-Pets. In a social media post today, Johnson revealed the rest of the cast and there is some serious star power joining him.
Kevin Hart, Keanu Reeves, Kate McKinnon, Vanessa Bayer, John Krasinski, Diego Luna and Natasha Lyonne will all be joining Johnson as "our league of two and four-legged heroes and villains." Only Hart's role was revealed; he'll be voicing Ace the Bat-Hound, Batman's dog. Some of the other super-powered pets on the team include Supergirl's cat Streaky the Supercat and Wonder Woman's kangaroo Jumpa, but it sounds like we'll have to wait to find out their actor identities.
"The hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE is about to change," Johnson teased.
As Johnson notes, DC League of Super-Pets is being written and directed by Jared Stern and co-directed by Sam Levine. Although Stern doesn't have a lengthy directing resume he did write the screenplay for The Lego Ninjago Movie and wrote four episodes of Netflix's Green Eggs and Ham. Same Levine wrote and directed Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero.
DC League of Super-Pets is scheduled to release on May 20, 2022.
