Beloved '80s comedy, Honey, I Shrunk The Kids is the latest classic film rumored to be receiving the remake treatment.  A new report states that Disney is looking into releasing the film on its forthcoming new streaming service, Disney+, and that talks with Josh Gad have been ongoing.

However, in a twist, it seeks the film won't be a true remake, but a soft rebootl, with Gad set to play Nick Szalinski, the son of Rick Moranis' goofball inventor.  Like his father, it seems Nick will also accidentally shrink his kids.

Disney is said to be currently shopping the project to interested directors.
