Here Are The 32 Animated Films Vying For A Best Animated Feature Oscar Nomination

The Academy has revealed all 32 films submitted by various studios for consideration in this year's Best Animated Feature category. Notably, Disney's cgi Lion King remake is absent.

The debat raged for several weeks during the release of Disney's billion+ grossing Lion King remake as to whether the film was live-action or animated.  Director Jon Favreau revealed that outside of the film's opening shot of the Savanah sunrise, everying in the film was entirely CGI. This led to film critics and pundits debating whether Lion King should be viewed as live-action or animation.

Well, it seems Disney is viewing the film as live-action as they have not submitted the film for consideration in The Academy''s Best Animated Feature category, though the film would have likely been a strong contender.  Check out the full-list below. The final nominees will be announced on January 13, while the winner will be revealed during the telecast of the 92nd Oscars on February 09.
