While Wonder Woman 1984 has been delayed until 2020 but Gal Gadot will be returning to the role sooner than expected (sadly, we're not referring to a cameo in Shazam!).

According to various outlets, the actress will voice Diana Prince in The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part and that means she will be replacing Spider-Man: Far From Home star Cobie Smulders who played Wonder Woman in the first instalment. She now joins Margot Robbie and Jason Momoa who will both be making an appearance as Harley Quinn and Aquaman.

Will Arnett will be back as Batman, while Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill will reprise their roles as Superman and Green Lantern.

No voice actors have been revealed for Cyborg and the Flash, so it remains to be seen whether or not Warner Bros. will enlist Ray Fisher and Ezra Miller to lend their voices to them.

Regardless, Gadot returning as Wonder Woman here is no great surprise and she's no stranger to the world of animation after taking on a starring role in Ralph Breaks the Internet. How do you guys feel about this news? Share your thoughts in the comments section!
