Disney has been developing a sequel to the 2013 hit, Frozen, for quite some time now, and following last month's big casting announcements, we now have word on some behind-the-scenes changes.
According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, screenwriter Allison Schroeder (Hidden Figures and Christopher Robin) has been brought on to "assist with scripting duties."
While Schroeder is joining the production, the site also notes that Jennifer Lee, who worked on the first film and Wreck-It Ralph, isn't being replaced as lead writer for Frozen 2. Instead, it's explained that because of Lee's new responsibilities as the head of Walt Disney Animation Studios, they recruited another writer.
Frozen 2, which is set to hit theaters on November 27, 2019, will see stars Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad return to their respective roles.
