When the original
Frozen released in 2013, the surprise box office blockbuster featured a song called "
Let It Go." Sung by Idina Mendzel's character Elsa, "
Let It Go" would go on to become the film's anthem, receiving widespread acclaim and getting stuck in just about everyone's head.
Kristen Bell, the voice of Anna (Elsa's sister), was asked if the upcoming sequel featured a song that could rival
Let It Go's catchiness.
"This is a tricky one," Bell admitted.
"I do. Yes, I do.
"They are all very, very, very good songs," she added.
"There is a song that is not has anthemic as 'Let It Go.' It’s a little more of a ballad, but I will tell you that it has been stuck in my head since the moment I heard it. I've been singing it to my daughters since the moment I heard it and they sing it back to me. But yes, I think that song will absolutely get stuck in peoples' heads."
Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough.
Frozen 2 arrives in theaters on November 22, 2019.
