All of the hype may be surrounding
Avengers: Endgame right now, but looking on the horizon, Disney has a bunch of other potential heavy-hitters in the pipelines. This includes Jon Favreau's highly anticipated "live-action" adaptation of the classic animated film,
The Lion King.
Not be completely left in the shadow of Endgame, The Lion King has received a new international poster. It features Mufasa (James Earl Jones) and Simba (JD McCrary) sitting atop Pride Rock as they gaze off into the distance. Behind them is a gorgeous sunset that lights the horizon. The poster also confirms an August 9th release date for the film in Japan.
The poster is actually similar to the one
Disney released back in February. It kept the overall look and feel, but had Mufasa and Simba in a different pose.
While the poster is visually stunning, it's actually nothing compared to what Favreau has managed to do in bringing these majestic animals to life on the big screen. Check out the latest teaser for
The Lion King below.
