Disney's Jungle Cruise is an upcoming live-action film which will star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), Emily Blunt (
Mary Poppins Returns), and Jack Whitehall (
Good Omens). The movie is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (
The Shallows) and its cast also includes Jesse Plemons, Édgar Ramírez, and Paul Giamatti.
The adventure film is
“based on Disneyland's theme park ride where a small riverboat takes a group of travelers through a jungle filled with dangerous animals and reptiles, but with a supernatural element," and is set to arrive in theatres next July.
It has been in production for a little bit now. We've gotten glimpses behind-the-scenes with social media updates from The Rock himself — one of which you can check out below — but no official trailers or teasers just yet. However, that's about to change. The starring actor recently took to Instagram to confirm that the first teaser for
Jungle Cruise will debut later this week.
