Disney is ready to take us on a wild magic carpet ride through the deserts of Agrabah. In a little over the month, we'll experience Guy Ritchie's live-action take on the classic animated film, Aladdin, and Disney has released a new TV spot hyping the upcoming adventure.

The new TV spot arrives courtesy of the Walt Disney Studios YouTube channel, offering us a 30-seconds snippet of the adventure we'll soon be going on. The teaser is less about the Aladdin-Jasmine relationship and more about the overall adventure, cramming quite a few exciting shots that perfectly sums up what this live-action retelling is all about.

Guy Ritchie's Aladdin seems to at least be heavily influenced by the 1992 animated film. While maybe not exactly a shot-for-shot remake of the original, many of the scenes are reminiscent of the beloved animated movie but with a unique live-action twist.

A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, “Aladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, “Aladdin” is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s “Aladdin.” The film stars Will Smith as the Genie; Mena Massoud as Aladdin; Naomi Scott as Jasmine; Marwan Kenzari as Jafar; Navid Negahban as the Sultan; Nasim Pedrad as Dalia and Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders.

The recently released full-length trailer for Aladdin restored faith in the live-action movie, which drew some early criticism in the way in which it depicted the Genie, played by Will Smith. But with renewed confidence, Aladdin will soar into theaters on May 24, 2019.
