While Detective Pikachu won't be releasing into theatres stateside for another five days, it has already released in Japan. Naturally, so that Japanese audiences can understand the film, the entire film has been translated and dubbed over by voice-actors.

While the voices are different, the film's story remains the same. Detective Pikachu follows the titular Pokemon as he teams up with a human by the name of Tim Goodman in order to solve a mystery surrounding the latter's father and in turn save the Pokemon world as we know it.
