At long last,
Detective Pikachu has now finally been released in theatres. Following the film's trailers it garnered high levels of anticipation. Thankfully, it seems that it won't let down that hype.
Detective Pikachu is a first for the Pokemon franchise in that it is a live-action film. Ryan Reynolds and Justice Smith both star in the film as Detective Pikachu and Tim Goodman respectively. The pair team up, as Tim is somehow able to understand Pikachu, in order to solve the mystery surrounding Tim's missing father (and in turn, save the world)!
CinemaScore recently revealed their official grade for the film via social media (
@CinemaScore).
Detective Pikachu has earned a solid "A-" grade from the site. According to CinemaScore's tweet:
"Audiences loved it."
Ace detective Harry Goodman goes mysteriously missing, prompting his 21-year-old son, Tim, to find out what happened. Aiding in the investigation is Harry's former Pokémon partner, wise-cracking, adorable super-sleuth Detective Pikachu. Finding that they are uniquely equipped to work together, as Tim is the only human who can talk with Pikachu, they join forces to unravel the tangled mystery.
Detective Pikachu is set to arrive in theatres on May 10th, 2019.
