A brief video during DC FanDome used to transition between online panels has seemingly provided the first look at the animation style in 3D cgi adventure action comedy, DC Super Pets. You can check out the footage below which was captured by a fan and posted on Twitter.
Initially announced back in July 2018, there's been virtually no updated on the project other than it frequently shifting release dates. The second film from the Warner Animation Group (following Scoob!) is currently set to be released on May 22, 2022. The duo of Jared Stern (The Lego Ninjago Movie) and Sam Levine (Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero) are set to write and direct. There's no voice cast attached to the project at the moment.
As far as which members of the DC Comics super pets are set to appear, Superman's Krypto and Batman's Ace the Bathound are a shoein to appear. After that, it's a toss up as Supergirl's Streaky, Aquaman's seahorse Storm, Harley Quinn's hyenas Bud and Lou, Damian Wayne's Bat-Cow, Plastic Man's Flexi the Plastic Bird and Detective Chimp are all viable candidates.
With Scoob! being forced by COVID-19 to skip a theatrical release in lieu of On-Demand, it's hard to imagine any significant updates on DC Super Pets coming our way until the world returns to some form of normalcy. Nevertheless, keep it locked to Toonado for any potential further details that may come our way.
