Based on the book and animated children's television series of the same name, Clifford the Big Red Dog is in theaters now! Just as the name would suggest, the film revolves around a ginormous, scarlet-coloured canine and his owner, a young girl named Emily, as they adventure through the Big Apple, all the while a band of scientists make chase in order to study just what makes Clifford so big and red.
Darby Camp, best known for featuring in Netflix's The Christmas Chronicles, stars as Emily and Jack Whitehall, an English comedian who also features in Disney's Jungle Cruise, features as Emily's Uncle Casey.
Clifford the Big Red Dog has been available in theaters since November 10th and was simultaneously made available to stream via Paramount+, however, it isn't yet out at all in the United Kingdom — those having to wait until December 10th. Despite that the film's release isn't quite over yet, Paramount Pictures has already greenlit a sequel.
The Hollywood Reporter declares that a sequel to Clifford the Big Red Dog is already in development. Director Walt Becker is expected to return along with screenwriters Jay Scherick and David Ronn and Blaise Hemingway. Additionally, expect both Camp and Whitehall to return as Emily and Uncle Casey respectively. Clifford himself will likely also return, though he is known to have quite a stringent contract.
