Early reactions to Warner Bros. and Legendary's
Detective Pikachu have been very kind, praising the movie for being a proper video game movie adaptation; hinting at this movie being the one to finally break the video game movie curse; which is no small feature in its own right.
Directed by Rob Letterman, and boasting the talents of Ryand Reynolds as Detective Pikachu and Justice Smith as Tim Goodman, the first live-action Pokémon movie seems to be everything that fans of Nintendo's Pocket Monster series have been waiting for and more.

Detective Pikachu, featuring commentaries from Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith, and Kathryn Newton — who talk about their roles in this highly anticipated movie, as well as share a few details abou tthe world within the film.
