Batman will be sporting an apocalyptic new-look in Warner Bros. upcoming animated film The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part - and it would seem that he's honouring his quote from the first film: "I only work in black - and sometimes very, very dark grey."

As revealed in the first trailer for The Second Part; following the events of the first Lego Movie, the world has descended into a Mad Max-esque apocalypse. However, while the world may have fallen apart, what hasn't changed is Batman's fashion-drive.

Batman Day recently passed and, to celebrate, the official Twitter account for The Lego Movie series posted a new image from the upcoming sequel. The attached pic sees the wasteland that Bricksberg has become, but a caped crusader charges out from the dust of the desert - it's Batman! His cape's a little torn, he's wearing tyres as shoulder-pads, and a hubcap dons the iconic symbol on his chest.

Check out the tweet below:

What do you think of Batsy's new at-tyre? Are you looking forward to The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part?

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part builds its way into theatres on February 9th, 2019.
