One of the most important stories in Batman's written history has got to be the Death in the Family arc. Not only was it the first time a Robin had died (making way for the Red Hood), it was also the first time that fans got to decide his fate. When the book was originally released, fans had the opportunity to call in and vote that Robin lives or dies; sadly, the majority felt that Robin had to perish.
The decision has haunted Batman for decades, even with his past friend's return as the deadly and slightly less stable Red Hood. Now, opportunity comes knocking with the interactive film, Batman: Death in the Family. Acting as something of a prequel film to Batman: Under the Red Hood, Brandon Vietti returns to write, direct and produce this new film and offers he fans not two but four potential futures for Batman and the boy wonder.
Giving fans this much power is sure to yield some interesting results; however, that is something that will have to be properly explored after its October release. Until then, a brand new video showing the films opening title sequence has been released and gives fans that Bruce Timm art deco style that everyone knows and loves!
