Barbie is set to hit theaters this weekend, and now that the review embargo has lifted, critics have been sharing their verdicts on Greta Gerwig's fantasy comedy online.
With 79 reviews counted, the movie is currently sitting at a very impressive 89% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The lead performances from Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are universally praised, as is Gerwig's direction and the movie's thoughtfully self-aware tone. Most critics found Barbie very funny (for the most part), but it sounds like some of the humor also fails to hit the mark.
