Sonic the Hedgehog is an upcoming movie in the works at Paramount Pictures for release on February 14th — Valentine's Day. It's based on the iconic and popular video game franchise of the same name by SEGA. Ben Schwartz plays the titular, blue speedster and Jim Carrey plays the nefarious Dr. Robotnik — James Marsden and Tika Sumpter also feature in the film.
Paramount has released yet another trailer for their upcoming movie but this time it's entirely in Japanese — though, an English version will most likely surface as we approach the film's release. There's also a new poster that's solely Japanese. However, the language is beside the point. What is the point is that they both reveal an adorable baby version of
Sonic the Hedgehog.
It seems that Paramount want to cash in on the popularity of Baby Yoda from Disney's
The Mandalorian. As you can see in the trailer below (via
Gamefragger), Sonic races through Green Hill Zone before offering a sunflower to the camera. Similarly, the speedster can be seen holding this flower on the poster. Check it out below:
