Avengers: Endgame debuted earlier this year and quickly became the biggest movie of all time — having grossed more than the likes of
Avatar and
Titanic.
The Simpsons has been running for thirty years at this point and throughout that time has featured a plethora of cameos by people of note. For example, one of the most recent episodes featured Jason Momoa —
more on that here.
A new report by
TV Line has revealed that the episode that will debut on February 23rd will feature both the head of Marvel Studios and the two directors of
Avengers: Endgame. Below you can read through a synopsis of sorts for the upcoming episode:
"When Bart is mistaken for a terminally ill child and gets to see a cut of the unreleased sequel of the extremely popular Vindicator superhero movie franchise, he uses spoilers as blackmail to get what he wants. When two movie executives discover Bart has seen the movie, they will stop at nothing to keep his spoiler knowledge a secret."
Those two movie executives that featured in the synopsis will be played by Joe and Anthony Russo (the directors of
Avengers: Endgame).
Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, will voice
"Chinnos" who will serve as the villain in the Vindicator movie. You can get a look at Chinnos below. Both the character's name as well as general appearance is clearly a mockery of Thanos from the aforementioned
Avengers movie.
