If you’re on Toonado frequently, you know we’re never far from Disney Princess hype. With exciting news about the Mulan reboot steadily trickling in, there’s no shortage of love for Disney’s most loved ladies. Well, AMC theaters must feel the same way we do. Because today, we learned that some of Disney’s more recent princess hits are headed back to theaters, exclusively at AMC locations.
This news comes to us via the helpful folks at
Disney Insider. They reported on the special cinema event today, and included a list of what we should expect to see. That list is below:
-
Beauty & the Beast (2017): The Emma Watson-lead love-action remake of the furniture-loving fairy tale heads returns to theaters September 14th.
-
Princess and the Frog (2009): A more recent entry into Disney’s line of fantastic 2D animated films, Princess and the Frog hits theaters September 21st.
-
Tangled (2010): “At last I see the light!” You can expect Disney’s take on the classic tale of Rapunzel to swing into an AMC near you September 28th.
-
Moana (2016): Is there a better combination than Hamilton’s Lin Manuel Miranda and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson? We don’t think so. The Polynesian hero’s journey returns October 5th.
-
Cinderella (2015): And finally, AMC will be running one of Disney’s first attempts at animated-classic to live-action-blockbuster on October 12th.
