The pandemic has been a very troubling time for businesses all over, particularly those that thrive on in-person interactions. Of course, some of the places that have been most affected by the COVID problems are attractions and theme parks such as Cedar Point, King's Island, Universal Studios, and the multiple Disney locales.
Disney's Hollywood Studios, in particular, is looking to change that starting tonight with the return of Nighttime Spectaculars that draw crowds. First up and beginning tonight at 9 pm is the Wonderful World of Imagination event at the Chinese Theatre.
With over 90 years to draw from, almost a century of animated features, there is no shortage of footage to include in the projection mapping alongside the fireworks. Not only will fans be treated with characters and franchises dating back to Disney's early days, but new films will also be included so that even the youngest fans and viewers will get a kick out of what's presented.
A few of the newer Disney animated titles are Raya and the Last Dragon, Soul, and Onward, and all of them will be included, as will everything else that has premiered before Soul. Get a look for yourself at what to expect from the first returning nighttime spectacular in the video below.
What do you guys think? Will you be checking out these events, or do you think the pandemic should be taken more seriously when it comes to shows like these? Regardless, be sure to sound off in the comments with your thoughts!
Wonderful World of Animation is scheduled to show nightly at 9 p.m.
