Marvel Studios and Disney have so much happening at the moment, with the fifth episode of Loki releasing yesterday and Black Widow dropping tonight. Still, today's full trailer release for next month's What If...? has everyone talking, and for good reason.
For those unfamiliar with What If...?, it is Marvel Studios' first animated series. All of the characters are voiced by their actual MCU counterpart actors, which means Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and the rest of the gang. More importantly, it features the final performance of the late Chadwick Boseman, and the newest trailer was sure to focus on his character.
Boseman recorded lines for What If...? before his death, and his character is T'challa... but with a twist. In this series T'challa is picked up by Yondu instead of Peter Quill, thus resulting in him becoming Star-Lord. To be fair, there are a lot of other big moments to speak of, and looking at the poster below, there is no shortage of zany, insane fun to be had.
Mash-up characters like Peggy Carter's Captain Britain, Steve Rogers's Hydra Smasher, Peter Parker's Sorceror Supreme, and more are sure to have fans excited, but hearing Boseman's voice is another experience altogether.
In the trailer below you can see T'challa Star-Lord alongside Michael Rooker's Yondu, a character who perished in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, so in a way this is a treat for fans in two ways with characters we thought we wouldn't revisit.
See for yourself in the trailer below and be sure to sound off in the comments with your thoughts!
Enter the multiverse of unlimited possibilities.
