Since February 21st, new episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars have debuted every Friday on the Disney+ streaming service. The popular animated series was revived for one final season which will eventually consist of twelve episodes in total. We're now on Episode 9, which means there's three more to go.
The ninth episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars — The Final Season is titled "Old Friends Not Forgotten." After opting out of the Jedi Order a while ago, Ahsoka Tano had been living essentially in hiding amidst the underworld of Coruscant. However, Bo-Katan has enlisted her help in putting an end to Maul's rule of Mandalore.
Episode 9 will see the former Jedi Padawan reunite with her master, Anakin Skywalker, for what will likely be the final time. General Grievous has launched an offensive on the planet of Coruscant in order to capture Chancellor Palpatine. If you're familiar with Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith, this should sound all too familiar.
"Old Friends Not Forgotten" will kick off the highly anticipated "Siege of Mandalore" arc which will take place at the same time as the aforementioned saga instalment and be the final of the season — as well as the animated series as a whole. Clocking in at half-an-hour long, Episode 9 is the longest episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars yet.
